According to Variety, studios from a large selection of 2013 "comedy-tinged dramas" may be submitting their films, lead actors and lead actresses to the Musical/Comedy categories for the upcoming Golden Globe Awards.

Among those potential surprise entries into The Comedy category are "The Wolf of Wall Street," "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty," "Before Midnight," "Inside Llewyn Davis," "Her" and "August: Osage County." At the other end of the spectrum, several comedies may try their hand in the dramatic category including Woody Allen's "Blue Jasmine" and Disney's upcoming "Saving Mr. Banks."

However, it is important to note that a studio's film submission into a desired category does not make it a done deal. Various factors will be considered by the Golden Globes nominating committee prior to the December 12th nominations announcement.
