The producers of Academy Award -nominated film Persepolis,and renowned graphic novelist, Jacques Tardi, take fans on a rollicking adventure set in an alternate steampunk universe in April and the Extraordinary World, coming to Digital HD today, July 19, 2016, and Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD and On Demand on August 2, 2016, from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, in partnership with GKIDS. Described as "Miyazaki meets Pixar" (Tasha Robinson, The Verge) and hailed by critics as "thrilling!" (Peter Debruge, Variety) and "berserkly imaginative!" (David Noh, Film Journal), the film received an impressive 98% Certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes!

Paris, 1941. A family of scientists is on the brink of a powerful discovery when a mysterious force suddenlyabducts them, leaving their young daughter April behind. Years later, April carries on her family's research in secret with her cat, Darwin, but soon finds herself at the center of a shadowy conspiracy and on the run from government agents, bicycle-powered airships and cyborg rat spies!

Showcasing an all-star voice cast including Paul Giamatti (Straight Outta Compton, Turbo), Tony Hale (The Angry Birds Movie, "Veep"), Susan Sarandon (Thelma and Louise, Hell and Back) and J.K. Simmons (Whiplash, Kung Fu Panda 3), April and the Extraordinary World on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD allows viewers to dive even deeper into the adventure with exciting behind-the-scenes bonus content featuring the filmmakers and incredible voice cast. All formats also include a bonus alternate French track with Academy Award winner Marion Cotillard as April.
