Written and directed by Sai Varadan,An American In Hollywood is an extraordinary portrayal of a group of young and talented aspiring film artists, struggling to climb the ladder in Hollywood. Hailing from New York City, a talented filmmaker Josiah leads childhood friends and fellow artists Dorian and Paul to Los Angeles in pursuit of the Hollywood Dream. Wielding the artistic powers of writing, directing, acting, stand-up comedy, and graffiti, this team of "Real Artists" battles the "Entertainment Empire" of Hollywood through a humorous and satirical graphic novel-based reality. Sai Varadan is a writer/director from Brooklyn, NY. He enrolled in SVA (School of Visual Arts in NYC) where he studied cartooning and animation. He transferred to New York University's Tisch School of the Arts where he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film & TV Production and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. Upon the success of his senior thesis short film entitled "God's Hand", which world premiered at the 2005 Tribeca Film Festival, Sai co-founded his production company V-Twinz Productions Inc with his twin brother Venk. After a few years of directing commercials, web-series, and music videos, Sai completed his first feature film entitled "An American in Hollywood" which received a limited theatrical release through AMC Independent in 2014.
