ABC Special Attempts to Rank Best SCHOOL HOUSE ROCK! Songs
With the beginning of the school year, ABC presents a celebration of the Emmy-winning educational series from the '70s and '80s, SCHOOL HOUSE ROCK!, THE ABC's OF SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the special is scheduled to air on Sunday, September 7 at 7pm, hosted by Chandra Wilson. It hopes to put a stop to the debate regarding which SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK tune is the best.
Schoolhouse Rock! is an American interstitial programming series of animated musical educational short films (and later, videos) that aired during the Saturday morning children's programming on the U.S. television network ABC. The topics covered included grammar, science, economics, history, mathematics, and civics. The series' original run lasted from 1973 to 1985, and was later revived with both old and new episodes airing from 1993 to 1999. Additional episodes were produced as recently as 2009 for direct-to-video release.
