The ABC network has revealed its scripted slate of shows for the upcoming season. The network has canceled its freshman entries "Missing," "Pan Am" and "The River." All three dramas fell short of their time period occupants a year ago: "Missing" as compared to "Spring Wipeout" (1.4 vs. 1.7 rating in adults 18-49); "The River" to "V" (1.7 vs. 1.8); and "Pan Am" to "Brothers & Sisters" (1.7 vs. 2.3).

The network has given a second season to DON'T TRUST THE B--- IN APT. 23. Starring James Van Der Beek. "Apartment 23" has been the top scripted show among adults 18-34 and women 18-34 in its Wednesday, 9:30/8:30c slot for all but one of its telecasts. The show's freshman order consisted of 13 episodes, meaning six installments will carry over into next season.

ABC has issued renewals to its dramas "Body of Proof" and "Private Practice." The moves - confirmed via a spokesperson at the network - solidify the network's returning drama class for next season.

After a rough start in its new Tuesday, 10:00/9:00c home, "Private Practice" rallied to its most-watched telecast in more than 1-1/2 years on April 24; while "Body of Proof" wrapped its sophomore run on April 10 with its second-most-watched telecast of the season, not to mention its third straight win among women 18-49 and women 25-54.

ABC has renewed the Tim Allen-led comedy LAST MAN STANDING. The news - confirmed via a spokesperson at the network - closes the books on the Alphabet's returning scripted slate for next season.

The Tuesday comedy delivered huge time period gains for the Alphabet this season, with year-to-year growth of 41% in total viewers and 42% in adults 18-49.

ABC has picked up the Reba McEntire led pilot MALIBU COUNTY. According to the network show synopsis, "When Reba Gallagher (Reba McEntire) discovers her husband Russell, a country music legend, has a cheatin' heart... her world blows up, right along with the family fortune. Reba dreamt of becoming a country star herself, but put her career on hold to raise a family with Russell. Now, she's questioning all of that, big-time. With the ink on her divorce barely dry, Reba packs up her sharp-tongued mother Shirley (Lily Tomlin), her three kids, and the U-Haul, and heads for sunny California to begin a new chapter.

Leaving Nashville in the rear view, they're moving to Malibu, to the last remaining asset they have left - a little beach house. But liberal LaLa Land is quite an adjustment for this traditional Southern Belle. From the Bentleys to the Malibu Barbies, the West Coast seems like the polar opposite of Music City, and Reba feels like an outsider. But with the support of her family, she sets about finding her voice, jump starting her music career, and embracing this chance to begin again. From country music superstar/executive producer Reba McEntire and executive producer Kevin Abbott (Last Man Standing, My Name Is Earl, Reba) comes Reba's return to series television. Malibu Country is a hilarious new comedy about new beginnings that will make your heart sing."
