ABC Orders Second Season of NASHVILLE

According to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC has renewed Nashville for a second season. The country music drama stars Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere. The series, which kicked off last November, is currently averaging 6 million total viewers.

"Nashville" stars Connie Britton as Rayna Jaymes, Hayden Panettiere as Juliette Barnes, CLARE BOWEN as Scarlett O'Connor, ERIC CLOSE as Teddy Conrad, Charles Esten as Deacon Claybourne, Jonathan Jackson as Avery Barkley, Sam Palladio as Gunnar Scott, Robert Ray Wisdom as Coleman Carlisle and Powers Boothe as Lamar Wyatt.

THE MUSIC OF Nashville (SEASON I, VOLUME 2) was just released on May 7 on Big Machine Records as a follow-up to the show's first soundtrack released in December 2011. The project features new music from the cast. Award-winning producers T Bone Burnett, Buddy Miller, Gabriel Witcher, Garth Fundis, Frank Liddell, Dan Auerbach and Ross Copperman worked together to showcase the original content on both the show and soundtrack, respectively. Nearly 2 million digital downloads from the breakout series have been sold to date.

"Nashville" airs Wednesdays from 10:00-11:00 p.m., ET on the ABC Television Network. The series is produced by Lionsgate, ABC Studios and Gaylord Entertainment.
