2X Super Bowl Champ James Harrison Makes Acting Debut Thursday Night On CBS' S.W.A.T.

2x SUPER BOWL Champion and former NFL linebacker, JAMES HARRISON, will make his acting debut on a major network in this week's episode of the TV series, S.W.A.T. The Season 2, Episode 14 show entitled, "The B-Team," written by VJ Boyd and directed by Maja Vrvilo, will air tomorrow, Thursday, February 7 on CBS at 10pm ET/11pm PT.

His guest-starring role on S.W.A.T., as a member of the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), marks the first major speaking role for HARRISON, as he pursues a second career in acting.

HARRISON will star as the Social Media Manager of the LAFD, alongside other NFL legends, WILLIE MCGINEST and ERIC DICKERSON. Harrison appears in several scenes alongside regular cast members, SHEMAR MOORE, KENNY JOHNSON and JAY HARRINGTON, among others. In the episode, the S.W.A.T. team worries that they will lose an annual law enforcement charity competition to members of the LAFD.

"Working with James was DOPE!" said SHEMAR MOORE. "He had no sign of nerves and was smooth with his lines. It was cool to see such a beast from the NFL, take another craft so seriously and effortlessly. He was just a true professional. He may not be Denzel or The Rock yet, but he's on his way to making a name for himself in Hollywood."

---

Said JAY HARRINGTON: "I had a blast working with James. I'm a football fan, so of course I asked a ton of questions, and since acting is something he would like to pursue, he had just as many [questions] for us on set. He was a total pro, knew his lines and took it all in. I think The Rock better watch out because #92 is aiming to be an action star and he's coming for him! We gotta have him back on S.W.A.T. first though before he gets too big time for us."

---

"James is super raw and real as an actor," said KENNY JOHNSON. That's the best compliment. He was very authentic, real, in the moment and incredibly natural with his delivery. Plus, he knew everyone else's lines! He's also one of the strongest guys I've ever arm wrestled. He's great, humble and a beast. I loved the experience of working with him!

HARRISON has been in active pursuit of a career in acting following his retirement from the NFL in April 2018. He is represented by MOSAIC MEDIA GROUP talent management, based in Beverly Hills, California, and has taken numerous meetings with industry-leading film and television producers, directors, writers and casting directors.

He also appears on Fox Sports (FS1) studio shows in Los Angeles as a rotating analyst on the following shows: "SKIP & SHANNON: UNDISPUTED," "THE HERD with COLIN HERD," "SPEAK FOR YOURSELF with WHITLOCK & WILEY" and "LOCK IT IN."

Since his retirement, HARRISON also recently launched a workout app, "DEEBO WORKOUTS," where workout enthusiasts, whether beginner or advanced, can follow along, step-by-step, with his daily strength routine. Details of each exercise are described in instructional videos featuring James and his personal trainer. HARRISON also owns his "DEEBO GEAR" merchandise line, which is tailored to his own workout habits. Fans can find "DEEBO" workout registration, gear and more information at www.Deebo92.com.

Born in Akron, Ohio on May 4, 1978, James Henry Harrison, Jr. is the youngest of Mildred and the late James Harrison, Sr.'s 14 children. In acknowledgment of his well-known intimidating demeanor, he is nicknamed "Deebo" after the menacing character in the popular movie, "Friday."
