116 CAMERAS Is Named One Of 10 Documentary Shorts Advancing In 2017 Oscar Race!

116 CAMERAS Is Named One Of 10 Documentary Shorts Advancing In 2017 Oscar Race! Starring Holocaust SURVIVOR and stepsister of Anne Frank, Eva Schloss.

Emmy-winning filmmaker Davina Pardo documents the new technology behind the preservation of Holocaust SURVIVOR stories for future generations.

116 Cameras follows Eva Schloss, the stepsister of Anne Frank, and a SURVIVOR of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp, as she preserves her story as an interactive hologram so she may have conversations with future generations. The technology supported by The USC Shoah Foundation's New Dimensions in Testimony project draws on the rich resource of 1,500 recorded answers triggered by visitors' unique questions-allowing direct, seamless conversation. The related exhibit is on view at New York's Museum of Jewish Heritage through December 22, 2017.

116 Cameras has been generously supported by grants from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany, Norman Raab Foundation, Hartley Film Foundation, Karma Foundation, David Bruce Smith Family Foundation, and Lee and Lauren Feldman.
