The Southern Soul Assembly Tour Kicks Off Second Leg of Tour

After debuting their first ever tour to two sold out crowds at Evanston, Illinois' SPACE, The Southern Soul Assembly wowed fans in Nashville, Atlanta, and more before bringing the first leg of the tour to a close at Suwannee Springfest in Live Oak, FL. Now The Southern Soul Assembly, comprised of JJ Grey, Marc Broussard, Anders Osborne and Luther Dickinson, prepare to bring their soul-filled storytelling show to venues across the south - in Mobile and Birmingham, AL, Baton Rouge, LA and Austin, TX - and to select east coast cities including Boston, MA, Wilmington, DE and Washington, DC.

While the Southern Soul Assembly's in-the-round format promotes intimate individual performances, there has been no lack of collaboration among the Southern Soul Assembly players. These highly seasoned artists have a natural ability to contribute to each other's music through harmonies and guitar, each building and adding meaningfully to the songs. In his recent interview with the Mobile Press-Register, Anders Osborne talks about the intense personal nature of the tour saying that soul refers "Not necessarily soul music, in the traditional sense, but just how devoted and involved, emotionally, that all four of us are, in our writing, in our performance, in what we do. It's just a soul-baring experience, I think."

Arooj Aftab to Release New Album; Single Available Now

Arooj Aftab is set to release Night Reign, the follow up to her critically acclaimed album Vulture Prince, on May 31, 2024.
