The Pop Ups to Perform Family Concert at Jewish Museum, 3/8

The kids' indie rock duo The Pop Ups will perform a concert for families at The Jewish Museum on Sunday, March 8 at 11:30am. Not content to stand still onstage playing their guitars, The Pop Ups perform using cardboard props, hand-painted sets, and a colorful cast of original puppets, crafting a world of magic that engages, educates and delights all ages. The concert will feature songs from Appetite for Construction, nominated for the 2015 Grammy for Best Children's Album.

Tickets are $18 per adult; $13 per child; $15 adult Jewish Museum family level member; and $11 child Jewish Museum family level member. Adults are asked to accompany their children. Chosen by Red Tricycle and Time Out New York as one of the top kids' bands in the nation, spotlighted in The Wall Street Journal, and described as "Radiohead-meets-the-Beatles for kids" (National Parenting Publications), The Pop Ups recently made their national television debut on Sprout's Sunny Side Up Show. Based in Brooklyn, NY, Jason Rabinowitz and Jacob Stein have been creative collaborators since their 2010 release Outside Voices. Their PASTA: A Pop Ups Puppet Musical enjoyed successful runs in New York City and Los Angeles, and in 2012, they released Radio Jungle, which launched their careers as nationally touring artists and yielded their first Grammy Award nomination.
