Singer/songwriter TEDDY GEIGER is coming to Maxwell’s on January 26th ans will perform songs from his long-awaited new album, The Last Fears, through PledgeMusic (www.pledgemusic.com/teddygeiger) where artists and fans work together with charities to make music for change. The Last Fears is Teddy's first full-length release since his 2006 breakout release, the critically-acclaimed Underage Thinking, entered the Billboard Top 200 at #8 and yielded a million-selling Hot AC Top 10 single -- "For You I Will" -- when Teddy was just 16.

Fans visiting the site will be offered the opportunity to pledge to help Teddy make the album and receive a digital download when it's released in the first quarter of 2012.

Teddy's project page on Pledge Music also offers an intriguing menu of exclusive merch and experiences, from concert tickets to signed "The Rocker" DVDs to a birthday phone call from Teddy for your favorite TedHead. A portion of the monies raised will be donated to Teddy's favorite charity, Save The Elephants – an organization committed to securing a future for elephants and sustaining the beauty and integrity of the places they live. New Teddy Geiger compositions and performances on The Last Fears include "Lie Tonight," "Shake It Off," "Get Away," "Only Got Tonight," "Fall Anyway," "Afraid of Everything," "Changed," "Start Over" and "Yesterday."

Proficient on a number of instruments including guitar, bass, piano and drums, Geiger had first made his reputation as a musician in high school with his performances at all-ages gigs around his native Rochester, New York, earning the loyalty of an ever-growing fanbase of self-proclaimed "Ted-Heads." While an internet fan buzz fueled his early burgeoning popularity, Teddy's first independent release, the regional EP "Stepladder" (on Cred Records), peaked at #1 in Rochester and made the Top 10 in Billboard's mid-Atlantic regional "Heatseekers" chart. The record's local success led to a major label deal with Columbia Records and the release of Underage Thinking.

"Teddy Geiger projects an easy charm along with his real pop chops," raved The New York Times while People magazine, in a three-and-a-half star "Critic's Choice" review, predicted that "Teddy Geiger should have a long career ahead of him."

Guitar World Acoustic called Teddy "…a polished stylist whose music recalls the works of such tunesmiths as John Mayer and the young Dave Matthews…" while heralding "lyrics that are sometimes powerfully intimate, while at other times raucously joyous."

"Teddy is not simply a guy with a guitar," wrote the Associated Press. "He also plays the piano, writes all his own songs and at just 17 is a seasoned musician…Teddy's greatest gift may be his ability to write beautiful melodies full of subtle nuances that show off his prowess as composer."

During 2006, Teddy's dynamic new school pop, informed by the spirit of rock's glory days, earned him spots on shows featuring Gavin DeGraw, Kelly Clarkson, and Hilary Duff's #1 pop tour. Teddy has shared bills with Brandi Carlile, Pete Yorn, Simple Plan, Fall Out Boy, Frankie J, Jesse McCartney, The Click 5, among others. Teddy's breakout year closed with the artist becoming the first male to grace the cover of Seventeen magazine in five years. Teddy -- who had a dramatic role as an emerging young singer-songwriter in the short-lived CBS cult television series (later picked up by VH1), "Love Monkey" -- made his big screen debut in 2008's "The Rocker," a summer comedy from director Peter Cattaneo ("The Full Monty") also starring Rainn Wilson, Christina Applegate, Emma Stone, and Josh Gad. The movie premiered a number of new Teddy Geiger performances in its soundtrack.

Since the release of "The Rocker," Teddy Geiger moved to New York City, began working with Rocket Music – Elton John’s music management company and began writing the songs at the core of The Last Fears.
