On Monday, November 7th, top musical artists Tip "T.I." Harris, Rick Ross, Gucci Mane, Pusha T, and Jay Electronica will join social justice activists such as Sybrina Fulton and Jahvaris Fulton, the mother and brother of Trayvon Martin, to gather at Florida Memorial University in Miami for the 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East "YOUNG GETS IT DONE" rally for millennials. Hosted by multimedia icon Angie Martinez and featuring special correspondent YesJulz, the event, held in partnership with NAACP Youth and College Division, will feature remarks from artists and social justice activists to energize young people of color to turn out and vote on Election Day. In an effort to mobilize African-American, Latino, and Haitian/Caribbean young people between 18 and 34, the free and open-to-the-public rally will bring together 5,000 voters in Miami, combatting the misconception that millennials are increasingly out of touch with modern politics.

Stephen Green, NAACP Youth and
College Division National Director; Aja Monet, Afro-Cuban poet and activist; Carmen Berkley, Director of the Civil, Human & Women's Rights AFL-CIO; and Aaron Mair, President, Sierra Club.
