Steven Blane Releases New Record 'So New York' – Love Songs For NYC

Singer-Songwriter, Steven Blane, returns with the release of his new album, So New York, switching his usual Americana style for a jazzy sound. The album is a collection of ten original love songs to New York City, including his single "Central Park". Steven has never shied away from exploring genres. In the past, he delved deeply into Americana with the release of The Shed Sessions and Motel Blue. But this time he ventures back into jazz like he did in his first album, Kill Me Nice. Steven's style flourishes on this record with the combination of jazzy pop and 1950's rock. Together they give his sound a unique signature. Seattle PI praised the album and Steven's artistry proclaiming , "So New York is grand! The album is full of vintage jazz/pop aromas giving off tantalizing wisps of elusive familiarity similar to the heady music of the '40s and '50s. Steven Blane's voice is deliciously deluxe, full of lush tones."

So New York was written and produced by Steven Blane, himself, as well as recorded in NYC. The album also includes drums by Frank-Frankie "Sticks" Levatino (played amongst John Tropea, Will Lee, Harold Ashby, Kenny Daverne and more), bass by Kevin Hailey (recipient of Hot House Magazine's Jazz Fan's Decision award for Best Bass), and piano by Jack Glottman (performed with Grupo Cachimba).

Be sure to check Steven Blane's new album, So New York, available on iTunes, Spotify, and Amazon!
