The term, "highly anticipated" is tossed around often in music press, but it can't begin to describe the excitement among true music insiders surrounding the release of Right Beside You, the new album from Jeff White.

Music journalist, Jon Weisberger, has called Jeff White "one of Nashville's under-sung heroes for more than two decades." White has performed on an unbelievable roster of albums with artists including Vince Gill, Loretta Lynn, Alison Krauss, Patty Loveless, Lyle Lovett, and The Chieftains, to name a stellar few. Every now and then, however, White finds time to surface as a front man, much to the delight of savvy audiences, and he has recorded two previous, highly-praised solo projects.

A true "musician's musician," White's flatpicking, singing and songwriting chops are unmatched, and his tremendous skills are respected by both his bluegrass and country contemporaries. The independently released Right Beside You is available digitally on Friday, 3/25/16 and a street date for the CD is 4/22/16.

White's early influences included Doc Watson, Norman Blake and Tony Rice. He developed his own flatpicking guitar style with Alison Krauss and Union Station. He has played for more than 20 years with Country Music Hall of Famer Vince Gill, and toured with Irish music legends The Chieftains. He helped to produce The Chieftain's two Down the Old Plank Road projects.

White has produced five albums for acclaimed fiddler, Michael Cleveland. As a writer, his songs have been recorded by The Del McCoury Band, Alison Krauss, Dale Ann Bradley, Dan Tyminski, and The Infamous Stringdusters. His talents are highly sought-after on the road and in the studio.

White's prior solo recordings are The Broken Road in 1999, and The White Album in 1996. He's a guy determined to take the time to get it right, and that's just what he's done with Right Beside You, stepping away from his busy schedule as a touring artist and a producer to share something very special and personal.

The list of guests lending talents to Right Beside You reads like a Who's Who of acoustic music legends. Eager to share their vocal and musical talents and stand beside White on the project are Charlie Cushman, Alison Krauss, Barry Bales, Shawn Camp, Jerry Douglas, Dan Tyminski, Vince Gill, Ronnie McCoury, Michael Cleveland, Del McCoury, Bekka Bramlett, Cheryl White, Laura Weber Cash, and The Chieftains.

The low-key prodigy with the extraordinary gift spent more than a decade preparing for this 3rd solo album. Still, it is a mere taste of what Jeff White can do. As a musician, songwriter, and singer, Jeff White underscores the very meaning of "triple threat" as he continues to hone his virtuosity while both embracing and transcending bluegrass, folk, celtic and country genres

Right Beside You is a fitting title for this exquisite collection from ace flatpicker, vocalist, and songwriter Jeff White, who over the years has himself stood beside so many greats.
