Neon Gold Release 10th Anniversary Compilation 'NGX: Ten Years of Neon Gold,' Out Today

Today, Neon Gold release 10th anniversary compilation, NGX: Ten Years of Neon Gold, a unique retrospective compiling rarities, exclusives and covers from the label's illustrious family tree of artists out on Neon Gold/Atlantic Records. Besides, being available for streaming, there will be limited exclusive promotional vinyl at Neon Gold X on Saturday September 29.

Yesterday, FADER premiered a brand new Phoebe Ryan ft. Tove Lo "Heart Attack" track.

Earlier, the Clock Opera remix of Marina And The Diamonds' 2010 breakout single "I Am Not A Robot", a rare gem from the Neon Gold vaults, saw a wide release across platforms in all territories for the first time.

This month marks ten years since the birth of Neon Gold Records, who took their first steps into the world with the release of Passion Pit's debut single "Sleepyhead" in September 2008. To mark the occasion, frequent Neon Gold collaborator Young & Sick released "Sleepyhead" cover, premiered via Stereogum.

Neon Gold Records was founded by Derek Davies and Lizzy Plapinger (MS MR, LPX), and has gone on to release over 50 artists since Passion Pit's debut: Charli XCX, HAIM, Marina & The Diamonds, Gotye, St. Lucia, The Knocks, Christine And The Queens and many more have all called the label home over the past decade.

The compilation was launched with the release of three songs earlier this month. Matt Maeson teamed up with VÉRITÉ for a brand new rendition of his breakout song "Tribulation" (premiered via Billboard), The Knocks' delivered a fresh 2018 update of their debut single "Make It Better" (premiered via FLOOD) and the newest signing to the Neon Gold family Broods paid tribute to Gotye with "Eyes A Mess", their medley cover of the Grammy award winning Australian's "Eyes Wide Open" and "Hearts A Mess".

NGX: Ten Years of Neon Gold offers a rare collection of unreleased and exclusive material and is released one day ahead of the label's recently announced 10th Anniversary show in NYC on Saturday September, 29th - with scheduled performances by The Knocks, Marina & The Diamonds, BROODS, St. Lucia, Matt Maeson, Alex Winston, LPX, Your Smith, and more.

The show marks Marina's first US performance since 2015, and will be both The Knocks' and BROODS only NYC live performance of the year.

Founder of Neon Gold Records, Derek Davies, says, "One of the best things about reaching a milestone like this is taking the opportunity to look back and celebrate all the incredible artists we've been fortunate enough to work with over the years, and we had a lot of fun putting together the NGX compilation, which will feature a number of rare and exclusive tracks from some of our biggest acts, as well as a number of our newer artists covering some of our flagship earlier releases."

Neon Gold is a boutique record label based in New York City and distributed worldwide through Atlantic Records, specializing in the most credible pop music the world has to offer. Since launching in 2008 with the release of Passion Pit's debut single "Sleepyhead", Neon Gold has discovered and released the debut singles from the likes of Ellie Goulding, Tove Lo, MØ, Gotye, Icona Pop and more.

In 2013 the label graduated to full-length album campaigns with the likes of St. Lucia and HAIM, and most recently released albums from Charli XCX, Christine And The Queens, Marina & The Diamonds and The Knocks through their joint venture with Atlantic. Neon Gold also runs a successful live events arm, operating popular monthly club nights in NYC, London, and LA, that have hosted the debut shows from Halsey, Dua Lipa CHVRCHES, Billie Eilish, BØRNS, Grouplove and more in addition to their flagship annual showcases at SXSW, CMJ and The Great Escape.
