L’Alliance New York has announced its Winter 2026 programming, which will run from January 9 through March 23, 2026, and feature a range of performances in dance, theatre, film, and visual arts presented across multiple venues at its East 60th Street home. Ticket information and complete event details are now available at lallianceny.org.

The season begins with bLUr by choreographer Kimberly Bartosik, co-presented with Live Artery and New York Live Arts. Following its sold-out world premiere at New York Live Arts as part of the 2025 Crossing The Line Festival, Bartosik’s work will be presented on Friday, January 9 at 9 p.m. and Monday, January 12 at 7 p.m. in L’Alliance New York’s Skyroom. The piece explores physical and emotional rupture within an environment shaped by crisis.

L’Alliance’s Comédie-Française HD screening series continues on Thursday, January 22 at 7 p.m. in the Florence Gould Theater with La Nuit des rois ou Tout ce que vous voulez (Twelfth Night or What You Will). Directed by Thomas Ostermeier, the production features the director’s signature approach to Shakespeare, emphasizing physicality and contemporary interpretation in collaboration with the Comédie-Française.

On Monday, February 16 at 7:30 p.m., L’Alliance will partner with Red Bull Theater to present The Illusion, performed both in the Florence Gould Theater and via livestream. The event features a staged reading of Pierre Corneille’s 1636 play L’Illusion Comique, in Ranjit Bolt’s English translation, directed by Mirabelle Ordinaire. A post-reading discussion with the cast and creative team will follow the presentation.

Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels and L’Alliance New York will co-present Save the Last Dance for Me by Alessandro Sciarroni on Saturday, February 28 at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., and Sunday, March 1 at 2 p.m., with a public workshop at 3 p.m. that afternoon in the Skyroom. The work reintroduces the nearly forgotten Italian folk form Polka Chinata through a duet performed by Gianmaria Borzillo and Giovanfrancesco Giannini. The program is part of the Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels Festival in New York.

The Comédie-Française HD series returns on Thursday, March 5 at 7 p.m. with Le Bourgeois gentilhomme, directed by Valérie Lesort and Christian Hecq. Presented in the Florence Gould Theater, the staging blends period aesthetics with a contemporary sensibility and features original visual and musical design choices.

Also as part of the Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels Festival, L’Alliance will present You’re the one we love/and when we change the landscape…, featuring works by Leïla Ka and Robyn Orlin and performed by ten dancers from the Choreographic Ensemble of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. Performances will take place Thursday, March 12 and Friday, March 13 at 7:30 p.m. in the Florence Gould Theater. The evening brings together repertory and new choreography exploring themes of autonomy, identity, and collective expression.

On Monday, March 23 at 7:30 p.m., L’Alliance will present the U.S. premiere of Vincent Dedienne en concert (un lendemain soir de gala). The French comedian performs songs developed with a team of songwriters and drawn from characters in his international touring production Un soir de gala. The performance will be presented in French without English subtitles.

L’Alliance New York’s programs are supported by the New York State Council on the Arts with assistance from the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.

As an independent, not-for-profit organization, L’Alliance New York offers French language instruction and multidisciplinary programming that reflects francophone culture around the world. Founded in 1898 as the New York chapter of the Alliance Française and later unified with the Museum of French Art, the institution operates from its Beaux-Arts building at 22 East 60th Street. It continues to serve as a space for cultural exchange, learning, and creative engagement across generations.
