Hip-Hop Sensation Futuristic Serves Up New Single MAIN HOMIE

Independent hip-hop sensation FUTURISTIC releases his new single "Main Homie" today.

Get it HERE.

Produced by Boy Lord, the track hinges on a slick and steady beat created with household items, including pencils tapping on an empty bottle. Meanwhile, the Illinois-born and Tempe, AZ-based rapper vaults from nimble rapping into a magnetically melodic chorus as he shares his praise for a significant other who started out as his "Main Homie" and turned into the girl-of-his-dreams. In the music video, he quite literally brings each line and lyric to life with vivid props against a bright blue backdrop and alongside his co-star.

The track follows up his recent single "That's That," which impressively generated upwards of 187K Spotify streams and 188K YouTube views in under two weeks and continues to gain steam.

Stay tuned for a bevy of new bangers from Futuristic in 2019 as he will drop a new song on the 1st and 15th of every month this year!

Just under the radar, FUTURISTIC maintains his position as an impressive and inimitable independent hip-hop trailblazer. Upholding a steady stream of releases highlighted by 2015's breakout The Rise, 2017's Blessings, and last year's Songs About Girls EP, he has delivered a bevy of fan favorites. "The Greatest" clocked over 30 million Spotify streams as "I Guess I'll Smoke" [feat. Dizzy Wright & Layzie Bone] and "Epiphany"[feat. NF] both surpassed the 20 million-mark. Not to mention, he averages over 1 million monthly listeners on the platform. A rare talent who's just as at home going bar-for-bar with Tech N9ne as he is alongside A Great Big World, his adaptability proves just as impressive as his knack for a hook.

He always lives up to his name by remaining one step ahead. That tradition continues in 2019.

We remember the innovators. By rejecting the status quo, their focus, fearlessness, and fire fan the flames of change, opening up a path for others to follow in the wake. Rather than stick to the rules or adhere to the trends, Futuristic sets a precedent of his own in terms of both creativity and delivery. The Illinois-born and Tempe-based rapper and independent phenomenon not only ushers his vision into uncharted waters by rapping over beats composed on household items, but he also rewrites the release structure itself, unveiling two songs per month on the first and the fifteenth of every month throughout 2019.

That continues on his latest undertaking and forthcoming flurry of songs. Teaming up with producer Boy Lord, he dramatically widened the scope of his style by incorporating everything from horns and guitars to orchestra.
