The inimitable Foxy Shazam have announced a nationwide co-headlining tour with Free Energy, presented by SPIN. The two-month string of dates, which kick off October 12th in Portland, ME, come on the heels of a summer tour with Hole as well as memorable performances at Lollapalooza, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Reading & Leeds. Foxy Shazam's self-titled major label debut is out now on Sire Records.

Critical praise for Foxy Shazam has been effusive. Their songs "glitter like diamonds and kick like mules" said SPIN, which named the band one of 10 Artists to Watch in 2010 in their December/January issue. The Houston Press called Foxy a "glam-pop face melter," the Philadelphia Daily News declared them "riotously fun," and Cincinnati City Beat gushed "Foxy comes off like the second coming of Queen with the smirking ass-kick of Eagles of Death Metal, smushing together the pop majesty of Elton John...the orchestrated vaudeville pop madness of Sparks and the visceral pinwheel of Spoon, all of it arranged by Berry Gordy and Burt Bacharach with extra dollops of soul and cool."

The Ohio band's debut single "Unstoppable," which USA Today praised as "a stadium-sized anthem in the vein of Queen and The Darkness" first aired during the 2010 Super Bowl and is featured in three television promo campaigns this fall. The anthemic track is also included in NHL 2011, out now, as well as in Activision's Tony Hawk Shred and EA Games' SIMS, both in stores next month.
