CYN Releases New Single and Video, 'I'll Still Have Me.'

With her upcoming tour with British pop trio Years & Years just two weeks away, rising artist CYN has released her latest single, a poignant pop ballad called "I'll Still Have Me." The new song is paired with a touching and heartfelt music video that sees CYN performing to a community center of seniors. Described as "sweet" and poignant" by ELLE Magazine who debuted the video today, the moving video was beautifully directed by Ben Richardson (Director of Photography on: Beasts of The Southern Wild, The Fault In Our Stars, Wind River), and is bookended by emotional clips of the seniors reminiscing on their first loves.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, CYN explains; "After realizing a break up was imminent, I wrote this song to convince myself that everything would be fine. Focusing on who I am and where I'm headed made me feel less empty and more like I would make it through this heartbreak- finding sanctuary in myself was my safest bet and sturdiest lean upon."

"I'll Still Have Me" follows previous singles, including "Believer" which Harper's Bazaar hailed as an "infectious, sugary bop" with Billboard lauding it a "sensual and shadowy shiver for the dancefloor," as well as thei-D Magazine approved "dark dance-floor ready" single, "Alright."

Next month, CYN will embark on a 19-city North American Tour with acclaimed British trio, Years & Years. The Palo Santo Tour kicks off October 5, and sees CYN joining frontman Olly Alexander and his band mates Mikey Goldsworthy and Emre Turkmen in Toronto, Ontario before making their way across the east-coast, mid-west, and south, then winding up on the west coast and concluding in Seattle on October 30.

Earlier this month saw the release of "Moment of Truth," a new song CYN recorded for The Smallfoot: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, which is set for release on September 28 via Warner Bros.' WaterTower Music label. In theaters next Friday, "Smallfoot" stars Channing Tatum, James Corden, Common, LeBron James, Danny DeVito and Gina Rodriguez, and tells the tale of a bright young yeti coming face to face with a human for the very first time. CYN first entered the musical arena when she released "Together, which The FADER praised as "a breath of fresh air" and followed with the infectious "Only With You. which she co-wrote with producer extraordinaire, Felix Snow (Selena Gomez, Kiiara, Terror Jr.). The track was an early standout for the young artist, following a chance meeting with label founder Katy Perry, who instantly fell in love with the talented popstar's voice and her keen ability to craft a perfect pop song, CYN signed to Perry's Unsub Records in 2016.

An ardent supporter of the LGBTQ community, CYN's latest single, "Believer" is featured on Heard Well's latest compilation album, Pride, which was released in partnership with the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network (GLSEN) for Pride Month this past June. Available for purchase HERE, proceeds from the Pride compilation album benefit GLSEN, which works to ensure that global school environments are safe, productive spaces for LGBTQ youth.

With a debut EP in the works and SOLD OUT tours in the US and Central America under her belt, now is the perfect time to catch this rising starlet in action. Be sure to catch CYN on the road with Years & Years this fall!
