Buck Meek Announces Tour Dates with Twain

Buck Meek has announced tour dates with label mate Twain this February. Following the Keeled Scales' artists jaunt together, Buck will support Jeff Tweedy on his solo tour and Twain will join Rubblebucket on the road. Full details for all shows are listed below.

Buck Meek released his self-titled debut earlier this year on Keeled Scales to the praise of fans and critics alike. The ten-track collection dubbed "jumpy and electrifying as an ungrounded wire" by NPR with "a quiet and mischievous spirit," according to Pitchfork solidified Meek's power as a solo performer. The Big Thief guitarist shared his lyrically luminous stories across the country and abroad, playing shows with Margaret Glaspy, Sam Evian and more and filling a coveted slot at Willie Nelson's Luck Reunion. Buck Meek is currently in its second pressing.

Twain recently announced a special 12" titled 2 E.P.s to be released on January 25. The follow-up to Matthew Davidson's critically acclaimed label debut, Rare Feeling, gathers up unreleased material from distinctly important times in the band's recording history. NPR premiered its first offering, affectionately stating, "Twain songs retain a live energy with little editing... swathed in a lisping hiss. Even as 'Young God' rises from its quiet, glimmering opening to a thumping, full band apotheosis, the coloring of that sound frames it like a photo in an album." Over the course of a young but eventful career, Davidson has contributed his virtuoso musicianship to the likes of The Low Anthem, Spirit Family Reunion, Deslondes and more. He spent 2018 on the road touring alongside Langhorne Slim among others, and making his highly anticipated Newport Folk Festival debut.
