NBC has picked up another ethnic-centric drama.

In the same vein as this season's hip-hop soap opera EMPIRE, the untitled drama from Imagine TV depicts Cuban exiles in Miami. The show, written by HOW TO MAKE IT IN AMERICA's Ian Edelman and directed by THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA director David Frankel, has received a put pilot commitment from NBC and will be filmed at 20th Century FOX Television, where Imagine TV is based.

Deadline describes the drama as "a sexy soapy Cain and Abel story told through the lives of two very different Cuban brothers and their families living in Miami - a world where boxers, models, artists, gangsters and billionaires collide in the pursuit of the American dream." Executive producers include Frankel, Imagine TV's Brian Grazer, and Francie Calfo.

Imagine TV is also developming new seasons of 24 and ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT, as BroadwayWorld previously reported.
