According to the Hollywood Reporter, Phil Lord and Chris Miller are currently in talks to direct BOB: THE MUSICAL. The pair recently co-wrote and directed the animated film, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs.

As previously reported, Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel will be writing the screenplay for the Touchstone Pictures comedy "Bob: The Musical."  Chris Bender and J.C. Spink of Benderspink and Beau Flynn and Tripp Vinson of Contrafilm are producing.

"Bob centers on a thirtysomething guy who hates musicals and wakes up to find his entire life has become one. Tony-winning and Oscar-nominated composer-lyricist Marc Shaiman is writing the movie's songs. Disney bought Mike Bender's (brother of producer Chris) original pitch in 2004. Since then, John August ("Corpse Bride") and Jon Lucas and Scott Moore ("Girlfriends Past") did their song-and-dance on the script." states THR
