With a fresh interpretation of modern Mediterranean cuisine from Executive Chef Zivko Radojcic (whose mentor was renowned Chef Terrance Brennan), the new Upper West Side eatery Marlow Bistro (1018 Amsterdam Ave. / 212-662-9020 / www.MarlowBistro.com) is now open for lunch Mon-Fri (11am-4pm), dinner seven nights a week & brunch Sat. & Sun. (11am-3pm).

With a creative approach & dedicated passion to its cuisine, Marlow Bistro evokes the feeling of being in a European garden with its bright & charming décor which features exposed brick and an exposed original wood beam ceiling with industrial light fixtures & greenery placed throughout; the warm & welcoming space is complimented by the view across the street of the stunning Gothic architecture of the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine.

Born in Belgrade, Serbia, since arriving to NYC in 2010 Executive Chef Radojcic has worked in some of the city's finest restaurants including Picholine, Jungsik & Alta. His European-inspired menu at Marlow Bistro reflects his love of fresh farm ingredients paired with bold & balanced flavor combinations:

Some standouts on the menu include the 64°C Organic Poached Egg ($13.50) with roasted brussels sprouts, creamy polenta & bacon sauce; a Warm Farro Salad ($14.75) with squash, lemon-ricotta, pumpkin seeds & parsley; "Balkan" Ghoulash ($18.50) with homemade ricotta Cavatelli & sour cream; Oven Roasted Branzino ($25) with beet puree, brussels sprouts, turnips & parsley; the Homemade Black Tagliatelle ($19) with calamari, chorizo & sun-dried tomato pesto; and the Farm Chicken Duo ($23.50): chicken breast roulade & brown butter chicken mousse stuffed chicken legs sous vide & served with creamy parsnip puree, wild mushrooms, brown butter Béarnaise & brown butter crumbs.

The restaurant also offers a selection of delicious homemade Pizzas including the Diavola ($16) with fresh mozzarella, spicy hot salami & tomato sauce & the Capriciosa ($17) with fresh mozzarella, olives, artichoke, ham, mushroom & tomato sauce.

With a separate bar space off the dining room, Marlow Bistro also has a carefully curated wine & beer list and a selection of Original Cocktails ($13) which include the Divine (spiced rum, coconut rum, white rum, orange & pineapple); the West Side (tequila, strawberries, Prosecco & lemon juice); and the Marlow (Rye whiskey, peach purée, lemon & fresh ginger).

For Dessert ($9), Marlow Bistro offers Flavors of Citrus with orange-white chocolate bavaroise, lemon curd, pate sucrée & meringue; a Chocolate Hazelnut Mousse with banana, mint & white chocolate snow; and the Crème Fraiche Panacotta with cranberry sauce, brown butter & squash.
