MEAN GIRLS Broadway Show Cocktails by Datz in Tampa, Florida

With Mean Girls previewing on Broadway in March and debuting in April, our readers will be interested in enjoying these Mean Girls-inspired cocktail recipes.

Datz in Tampa, Florida has created a series of drinks to celebrate. Datz is a hotspot among Tampa locals. It's a comfort food haven known for creating indulgent dishes and trendy seasonal cocktails.

You Go Glen Cocoa

Ingredients:

1.5 oz Candy cane infused vodka

.25 oz Averna

.5 oz Tempus Fugit Crème de Cocoa

4 dashes Fee Brothers Aztec Chocolate Bitters

2 oz Nitro cold brew

.5 oz Vanilla sweet cream

Peppermint whipped cream, for garnish

Candy cane, for garnish

Method:

1. Combine all ingredients, except whipped cream, in a mixing tin.

2. Add ice and shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds.

3. Strain into an ice-filled brandy snifter.

4. Top with peppermint whipped cream, red sugar crystals and a small candy cane.

Queen Bees (and Wannabees)

Ingredients:

1.5 oz The Botanist Gin

.5 oz Honey

.5 oz Amaro Nonino

.5 Beet shrub

.5 oz Cold press cranberry

4 dashes Barkeep Apple Bitters

.25 oz Lemon juice

221 BC Orange Tumeric Kombucha to top

Lemon peel cut into crown, for garnish

Method:

1. In a mixing tin, combine all ingredients, except Kombucha

2. Add ice and shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds.

3. Strain into an ice filled Collins glass.

4. Top with Kombucha.

5. Gently stir to combine.

6. Garnish with lemon crown.

Burn Book

Ingredients:

1 oz Appleton Reserve Rum

.5 oz Plantation Pineapple Rum

.25 oz High West Campfire

.25 oz Lime juice

.25 oz Cold press pineapple juice

.5 oz Orgeat

.5 oz Almond milk

1 oz Housemade pomegranate grenadine (at bottom of glass)

Flaming lime hull, for garnish

Fresh orchid, for garnish

Ground cinnamon, for garnish

Method:

1. Combine all ingredients, except grenadine, in a mixing tin.

2. Add ice and shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds.

3. In a rocks glass, add grenadine to bottom of glass.

4. Add crushed ice to rocks glass and strain cocktail on top of grenadine.

5. Top with emptied lime hull filled with over-proof rum and a sugar cube.

6. Add fresh orchid.

7. Carefully light the lime hull on fire.

8. Add ground cinnamon.
