@giselle, choreographed by Ballet Vancouver Artistic Director Joshua Beamish, returns to Vancouver for the first time since its world premiere in 2019. This technology-driven reimagining of one of ballet's most beloved Romantic classics features Principal dancers from American Ballet Theatre and San Francisco Ballet. Exploring love and loss in the modern digital age, the full-length production combines Adolphe Adam's timeless score with breathtaking visuals in a multisensory reflection on relationships in the era of social media.
Ballet Vancouver announced its inaugural 2026/27 season, featuring guest principals from The National Ballet of Canada and San Francisco Ballet, world and Canadian premieres, and the return of @GISELLE at the Vancouver Playhouse.
DanceHouse presents the exhilarating North American premiere of Dada Masilo's The Sacrifice, on stage May 5 and 6, 2023 at 8pm at the Vancouver Playhouse.
