On Wednesday, June 14, 2017 The Astor Room at the legendary Kaufman Astoria Studios in Astoria, Queens hosted a podcast recording of "Michael Mott & Friends." Theatrical composer/ lyricist and pop songwriter, Michael Mott, partnered with theatrical podcast, Broadwaysted, to premiere five acoustic versions of songs from his second studio album set to be released this fall.

The evening featured live performances from Broadway's Jenna Ushkowitz (Waitress, TV: Glee), Natalie Weiss (Broadway: Everyday Rapture, Web: Breaking Down The Riffs), Crystal Monee Hall (Broadway: Rent) and Loren Allred (TV: The Voice). Background singers included Damian Barray, Lauren Devine and Lindsay Rider backed by Mott at the piano and Adam Wolfe on cajon. Broadwaysted is compromised of Kevin Jaeger, Brian Plofsky and Kimberly Cooper-Schmidt. The episode is set to air this September.

ABANDONED HEART is the second studio album from singer/ songwriter, Michael Mott. Joined by some of Broadway, television and pop's most recognized talents, Mott's new album offers a variety of feel good pop, anthemic soul and introspective ballads.
