Impressionist Jeff Tracta Raises Over $1 Million for Charity with Jay Leno
Impressionist JEFF TRACTA wowed the audience to a standing ovation at the $1,500-a-head black tie Alfred E. Mann Foundation gala emceed by the two-time Emmy Award-winning Jay Leno, Sunday October 13, 2013, at the Robinsons May lot, 9900 Wilshire Blvd in Beverly Hills, raising over $1 million for charity with over 400 people in attendance, thanks, in part, to Tracta's compelling performance, "A Journey Through Pop Culture," featuring more than 50 spot-on impressions.
The star-studded event, with guests including Marilyn McCoo, BILLY DAVIS, JR., Norm Nixon, Debbie Allen, Larry King and his wife, Shawn King, honored and celebrated the evening's two award recipients JANET AND WAYNE GRETZKY and DR. STANISLAO RIZZO for positively impacting the human condition.
In his introduction of Tracta, Jay Leno brought Tracta onstage saying, "Jeff is the best celebrity impressionist around."
Jeff Tracta first earned international fame with over 450 million viewers worldwide as Thorne Forrester on CBS's Emmy-winning The Bold & the Beautiful. Now, Tracta takes impressionism to a new level, with an explosion of pop culture featuring favorite voices from the world of both contemporary and legendary comedians (Larry the Cable Guy, George Burns, Joan Rivers) to politicians (Presidents Bush and Reagan) to the world of cartoons (SpongeBob SquarePants, South Park, Family Guy and Popeye) to classic television (All In The Family, Bewitched, Gilligan's Island, The Honeymooners and The Andy Griffith Show) to music (Elton John, Billy Joel, N'Sync, Andrea Bocelli, Sarah Brightman and The Black Eyed Peas).<
Holly Nuckols, an attendee at the gala, said Tracta's performance in his one-man performance was "incredibly nostalgic and fun." Marilyn McCoo said Tracta is, "...the consummate professional with music for all ages," while Billy Davis, Jr. called Tracta's show, "beautiful, beautiful!"
The gala, themed "Welcome to Casablanca," featured Moroccan-inspired dining, music, decor and dancing.
