Dorks in Dungeons, the critically acclaimed fantasy comedy improv show is returning to The Seacoast Rep on Sunday September 14th for its once monthly adventures. Now in its third year, Dorks in Dungeons has toured the country performing its unique long-form improv show based on role playing games like Dungeons & Dragons.

The show follows the exploits of a fantastical delivery service, The Special Parcel Service, as they try to make their deliveries against all odds (and their own incompetence). Game Master Brian Kelly guides the action while a band of improvisers plays the rotating cast of characters helping or hindering our heroes, and their success or failure is determined by the roll of a 20-sided die.

"We're not the first to do a show like this," says producer and performer Brian Paul "but we've definitely evolved into something unique, and I think people have picked up on that."

Dorks in Dungeons began as a part of a short run of unique shows at the Players Ring, being picked up as an ongoing series shortly after. For their second season, Dorks was picked up by the Seacoast Repertory Theatre's Red Light Series. Since then they have performed at venues and conventions from GenCon in Indianapolis, the largest gaming convention in the world, to HalCon in Halifax, Nova Scotia. They have written a book about the game they designed and play onstage. Most recently, the Dorks performed to a packed room at Boston ComicCon.

For Season Three, Dorks in Dungeons will be taking stage with three new members who should be familiar faces to show-goers on the Seacoast: Christine Gray (Darwins Waiting Room), Tim Jacobs (Seven Stages Shakespeare) and CJ Lewis (Old Saw, Seven Stages Shakespeare). Former member Matthew Richards will also be returning to the cast after an absence.

"We are getting to the point where we are doing a couple appearances a month, so we really needed to flesh out our roster to make sure we could do them all." says Producer Kathleen Cavalaro "We think we've assembled some of the funniest performers on the Seacoast, and I think our fans will be really happy about our new additions."

Tickets for Dorks in Dungeons are $12 online for VIP tickets or pay-what-you-can at the door for general admission. VIP ticket holders will enjoy free pizza, collectible art and items from the cast, exclusive giveaways, and more. Tickets are available at www.seacoastrep.org.
