Sarasota Orchestra Tovey Inaugural Concert to Include Q&A

Sarasota Orchestra announced that its inaugural concert with Music Director Designate Bramwell Tovey will include a Q&A segment after the performance. Attendees will be given an opportunity to submit questions prior to the event. Brian Hersh, Program Director for Any Given Child at Sarasota County Schools, will moderate.

Tovey: the Adventure Begins takes place on October 30, 2021. Held at the Sarasota Opera House, the concert features multiple Grammy Award-winning violinist James Ehnes. The program includes Beethoven's Symphony No. 7 and music by Verdi, Saint-Saëns and Sarasate.

The Orchestra announced the appointment of internationally-renowned conductor Bramwell Tovey as Music Director Designate in August 2021. In demand as a conductor with some of the most prestigious orchestras in the world, Tovey is also Principal Conductor of the BBC Concert Orchestra, Artistic Advisor to the Rhode Island Philharmonic and Principal Guest Conductor of Orchestre Symphonique de Québec.
