Bourbon Baroque Joins BUSTER VS CHARLIE 6-Month Film Series, Now thru 2/10
Bourbon Baroque teams up with the Louisville Film Society and Dreamland Film Center in their second installment of "Buster Vs Charlie" an ongoing 6-month series that profiles two of the great silent era comedians. This program contains short films by Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin featuring live music by Bourbon Baroque with selections specifically programmed for each film including the compositions of Handel, Rameau, Couperin, and Telemann.
The showings take place tonight, February 8th @ 8:00 p.m.; Saturday, February 9th @ 8:00 p.m.; and Sunday, February 10 @ 2:00 p.m. at Dreamland Film Center, 810 East Market St. (Across from Mayan Cafe), Louisville, KY. Cost: $12 general admission ($10 for Louisville Film Society Members).
Films shown each performance: The Pale Face (Keaton - 1922), A Day's Pleasure (Chaplin - 1919), The Haunted House (Keaton - 1921).
