Shea's Performing Arts Center will welcome families to Shea’s Buffalo Theatre for “Superhero Sunday,” featuring free screenings of The Incredibles and Guardians of the Galaxy on Sunday, February 22.

The Incredibles will screen at 11:00 a.m. (doors open at 10:00 a.m.), followed by Guardians of the Galaxy at 2:30 p.m. (doors open at 1:30 p.m.). The event is part of Shea’s expanded Free Film Series for the 2025–26 season, which includes eight films aimed at audiences of all ages.

Families are encouraged to attend in costume as their favorite superheroes. Pre-film activities will be led by Shea’s Arts Engagement and Education team and include mask decorating, sticker and coloring stations, trivia, and a free book giveaway.

Originally released in 2004, The Incredibles features the voices of Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Samuel L. Jackson, and Jason Lee and follows the Parr family as they reunite to save the world after superheroes are forced into hiding. Released in 2014, Guardians of the Galaxy stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, and Bradley Cooper and centers on a group of unlikely heroes who band together to stop a powerful villain.

Additional upcoming films in the Free Film Series include Jurassic World Rebirth on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., and A Minecraft Movie on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.

Tickets are free but required due to limited seating and may be reserved online. Shea’s Free Family Film Series is supported by grant funding from Erie County for arts engagement and community programming.
