You know when your train is f*cked this is the show that tells you WHY.This month's show: NYC is Back, Baby! We're so excited to be back at Caveat for our first live show in over a year. So what's the MTA been up to since February 2020?? The subway shut down for the first time overnight in its entire history, the Canarsie Tunnel shutdown ended on schedule and the East Side Access project is somehow *almost* complete, AND the MTA's extremely secure, definitely-not-hardware-from-the-80s tech was infiltrated by Chinese hackers just this summer. We have a LOT of catching up to do. Let's just say we noticed how Andy Byford left and the whole place fell apart just a month almost immediately. This month's special guest: Sarah Meyer, Chief Customer Officer at MTA New York City Transit! Sarah Meyer is responsible for making sure customers can make better decisions about how to use our subways and buses, and feel a little more clued in to whats happening, because goats on the tracks are a thing. From training conductors to make non-jargon-y announcements to installing better speaker systems to getting customers more real-time answers via Twitter, shes rebuilding the customer experience for transit riders.YOUR HOSTS:--Meg Pierson co-founded Alchemy Comedy Theater in South Carolina. In addition to helping to write and produce the pet health video series Cone of Shame, Meg travels internationally teaching improv workshops at veterinary conferences she isnt a vet but if your cats peeing outside of the litterbox its probably a UTI. Shes a two-time emcee of TEDx Greenville and hosted VERSUS at Caveat in the before-times. In her free time, she offers people jobs at Axiom Law.--Justin Williams is a comedian that has been featured on Comedy Centrals Jokes.com, Mashable, SiriusXM Radio, The Elite Daily, Mens Health Magazine, The Kansas City Star, Morning Buzz Live on VH1, Trial by Laughter on Comcast, Laughs on Fox and The Comedy Show Show on Seeso. He is also co-host of the Fraudsters podcast, a joint production of the Last Podcast Network and Spotify.ABOUT THE SHOW: Get on board for a deep dive into the history of the MTA. Whether you love it, hate it, or want to compose more informed rage-tweets about it during your next 20 minute delay weve got you covered. Your hosts Meg Pierson (TEDx, Alchemy Comedy) and Justin Williams (City College, SirusXM), along with a mysterious anonymous ghostwriter, will conduct our show through the twists and turns of history; revealing unbelievable stories, subway life-hacks, and truly upsetting details about our subway system.SHOW INFODoors 9:30 PM, show 10:00 PM.Tickets $20 in advance, $25 at the door, $5 livestream.21+No outside food or drink is allowed.COVID POLICIESAs we re-open we're doing everything we can to keep our audience, performers, and staff safe and are complying with all Covid regulations. As part of this, all attendees must present proof of full vaccination to enter.
