Inspired by NPRs web series Tiny Desk Concerts, this musical-comedy extravaganza features a live, intimate acoustic performance, a meaningful conversation about writing, lyrics, & inspiration, followed by much less meaningful improvised comedy based on the bands lyrics and sound.Our musical guest this month is Sean Lemkey, a New-England based singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Best known for his involvement as a lead vocalist and cofounder of the Folk-Rock band Among the Acres, Lemkey touts an eclectic and versatile musical background. Lemkeys influences range from the ethereal sounds of Fleet Foxes to the groove-centric feel of John Mayer. As a singer, writer and guitarist, Lemkeys other noteworthy projects include Indie Folk group King Mulhacen '' and Alt-Rock outfit GreenHouse. Lemkey is also an award winning drummer, and has collaborated with a wide breadth of artists as a recording artist/ touring drummer/ producer.
