With nearly 1,900 submissions, the festival is the world's largest international high school film festival.

The sole character is a 50-year-old middle class woman who lives alone in an overly tidyapartment. She comes home from work, prepares dinner, does the laundry, watches TV, and listensto a radio program. Surrounded by Ikea furniture and brand-name appliances, acclaimed Polishactress Danuta Stenka infuses these actions with an increasing sense of loneliness and futility.Request Concert explores the devastating circumstances of life in a world that values objects overpeople. Staged in the round, the audience is invited to walk around the set and observe the production from all angles.

Kinesis Project Dance Theatre Presents SECRETS AND SEAWALL in Fort Tilden

Kinesis Project dance theatre, hosted by The Rockaway Artist Alliance and National Parks Service, will present a performance experience along the beach of Fort Tilden on September 18, 2016 and October 16, 2016 at 1pm and 4:30pm. Audiences will meet at Rockaway Artist Alliance Gallery to be brought to the performance, and should wear clothes for a fall day at the beach and shoes for walking. After the performance, audiences are welcome back to enjoy the art opening at the Rockaways Artist Alliance. A post show conversation with the artists will take place on October 16th after the 4:30pm performance. Aaron Latham Will Direct GOLDEN BOY in Brooklyn

StoPD and Shetler Studios present Golden Boy, written by Clifford Odets and directed by Aaron Latham. Staged at Gleason's Gym, the world famous boxing mecca that contributed to inspiring Odets back in 1937, this full scale production will be the first time Golden Boy will be presented in a site-specific setting with original equipment and ring from 1940s-50s. This production is a fundrasing event for two non-profit organizations: The Michael J. Fox Foundation and stoPD (Support and Training to Overcome Parkinson's Disease). This revival of Odets' masterpiece will be directed by Aaron Latham, author of the films Urban Cowboy, The Program and the Broadway musical Urban Cowboy. Mr. Latham has been living with Parkinson's disease for several years. At age 72, this production is his theatrical directorial debut. This unique production will also feature professional actors who are living with Parkinson's in some of the main roles. A tribute to the Parkinson's community and a testament to its strength and potential.
