NYC's FROM SEA TO SEA Southeast Asian Festival Returns to Brooklyn

The Chocolate Factory in Brooklyn will host 30+ vendors, live music, and poetry from Southeast Asian artists.

From Sea to SEA: NYC’s Southeast Asian Festival will return for its second edition as part of AAPI Heritage Month, bringing a full day of performances, vendors, and cultural programming to Brooklyn.

Presented by Viet Creative Society in partnership with more than a dozen Southeast Asian organizations, the festival will feature approximately 30 vendors, nonprofit groups, live performances, and interactive activities.

The event will take place on May 31, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at The Chocolate Factory. Admission is open to the public, with tickets available online.

A FULL DAY OF PROGRAMMING

Attendees will have access to a marketplace of Southeast Asian small businesses, live performances throughout the afternoon, and opportunities to engage with community organizations. The day will conclude with a keynote performance centered on the Southeast Asian diaspora.

PERFORMER LINEUP

Richmond Low’s Dance Troupe will present traditional Malaysian dances including Zapin and Joget.

Faye Pattatan and Chan Wannapat will perform as a Thai vocal duo.

Juliet by Night will present original music as a Vietnamese singer-songwriter.

Words of Southeast Asia, featuring Dena Igusti and Topaz Winters, will present poetry representing Indonesia and Singapore.

Rhe will perform as a Filipina singer-songwriter.

KEYNOTE PERFORMANCE

The festival will close with an original score by Hao Le, composed for the event and incorporating instruments and musical influences from across Southeast Asia. The performance will include dance by Richmond Low’s Dance Troupe and vocals by Faye Pattatan and Chan Wannapat.

ACTIVITIES

Interactive programming will include a community mural featuring multilingual greetings and a map of Southeast Asia, ketupat weaving, a batik-making demonstration, and Dreamlink, a collaborative art activity inspired by Filipino weaving traditions.

RAFFLES & PRIZES

Raffle prizes will include JetBlue round-trip flight tickets and field-level tickets to a Houston Astros vs. New York Yankees game, including a custom hat designed by Viet fashion designer LexyNiso. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase in advance and on-site.
