Impractical Jokers' John Szeluga & Chris Sorrentino Bring NOT OKAY to Brooklyn

brooklynONE productions will host NOT OKAY, a new adults-only live comedy event from longtime collaborators John Szeluga and Chris Sorrentino, at the Tom Kane Theatre in Industry City.

Blending storytelling, live visuals, confessional comedy, and decades of chaotic friendship, the new show-and-tell style performance invites audiences into the strange, embarrassing, and hilariously questionable moments from the duo's past that are probably better left forgotten.

Szeluga is widely recognized for his work as a writer, producer, and performer on the hit TBS comedy series Impractical Jokers. Equally iconic, Sorrentino is an illustrator, comedian, and longtime creative collaborator known to fans of the cult-favorite Super Live Adventure Podcast, and for famously urinating on Sal in an unforgettable Impractical Jokers punishment.  Together, the pair have spent nearly thirty years creating comedy across live performance, podcasting, publishing, and television.

Last year, Szeluga and Sorrentino launched their latest book, Nerdy, Dirty, and Tasteless Star Wars Jokes IV, at brooklynONE productions with a companion live comedy event that became one of the venue's standout underground comedy nights. The adults-only book features over 150 original jokes and illustrations aimed at Star Wars fans with a decidedly inappropriate sense of humor.

“This is exactly the kind of unpredictable, alternative comedy programming we love bringing into the space,” said Anthony Marino. “John and Chris have a chemistry and history together that is infectious, knowing they  probably shouldn't be trusted with a microphone.”

The performance is strictly for adult audiences. In order to preserve the live experience, phones, cameras, and audio recording devices will not be permitted during the show.
