Gloucester . $35, suggested donation Media art relies on music to inspire and augment the emotions engendered by what is on the screen. From Screen to Stage — a Chorale concert of music from movies, TV, and video games, both previously composed and original to the medium. Selections include movie music from Lord of the Rings and La Grande Bellezza; TV title themes from Game of Thrones and Outlander; and video game music from Civilization and Halo. Since 1959, Musica Sacra has been performing choral music with the highest standards of musical excellence and a sound that has been called “gifted,” “breathtaking,” “uncommonly fresh and direct,” and “among Boston’s very best.” Mary Beekman, Director since 1979, continues to thrill Musica Sacra’s singers and audiences with a varied and engaging repertoire.
