Menopause The Musical made its Boston debut at the Stuart Street Playhouse in 2003 and ran for 1092 performances before closing in 2006. That production was the first out-of-town run for producers Gfour Productions, who have since gone on to produce the show around the country. Now, Menopause The Musical returns to the Boston area for 3 weeks of performances at Stoneham Theatre.

Two of the original Stuart Street Playhouse cast members are performing in Stoneham Theatre's run. Hingham native Adrienne Cote, who plays the Iowa Housewife, and Stoneham native Kathy St George, who plays the Soap Star, both opened the show in Boston in 2003 and performed throughout its entire downtown run. "It's been too long since Menopause returned to the Boston area. We're thrilled to bring it back home," shared Producing Artistic Director Weylin Symes.

Menopause The Musical is a hilarious musical parody celebrating "the change," staged to classic tunes from the '60s, '70s, and '80s. The show takes place in a department store, where four women, who seemingly have nothing in common, bond over hot flashes, forgetfulness, mood swings, wrinkles, night sweats, and chocolate binges.

Menopause The Musical will run at Stoneham Theatre from June 12 - June 29, 2014. VIP tickets are $65; Premium $55; and Standard $50. Tickets are on sale now. Performances are on Wednesdays at 2:00pm & 7:30pm; Thursdays at 7:30pm; Fridays at 8:00pm; Saturdays at 4:00pm & 8:00pm; and Sundays at 2:00pm. One performance has been added on Tuesday, June 24th at 2:00pm. For tickets, call the Stoneham Theatre Box Office at 781-279-2200, or visit www.stonehamtheatre.org.
