Club Passim's CAMPFIRE FESTIVAL Will Return for Memorial Day Weekend
Nearly 70 artists will perform in-the-round at Club Passim in Cambridge, MA
Nearly 70 artists from New England and beyond will gather for four days of music at Club Passim over Memorial Day Weekend. For 28 years, this beloved semi-annual festival has brought together rising talent and seasoned musicians for a weekend of non-stop music. In true campfire tradition, the event features intimate in-the-round sessions where songwriters share songs, swap stories, and spark new collaborations—alongside solo sets and full-band performances. Single-day and weekend passes are on sale now.
“Campfire is always a special weekend for us at Passim. So many great memories as we have seen artists grow and develop year after year,” said Matt Smith, Managing Director at Club Passim. “You can see the connections made onstage that will shape young artists' careers as they craft their unique sound.”
In 1998, Passim established Campfire to fill a bad booking weekend, but today, it has become one of the primary methods for audiences to discover new talent. Originally known as "On the Cutting Edge of the Campfire," this festival merged the concept of artists playing music around the campfire with Passim's commitment to introducing new talent to discerning listeners.
Now, audiences can experience dozens of new artists in an intimate seated space. Swapping between songwriter rounds and band sets, attendees will get a glimpse of a music scene that is much bigger than one room. The weekend is the best way to see new artists at Club Passim.
Previous Campfire artists include Anais Mitchell, Lake Street Dive, Tall Heights, Alisa Amador, Lori McKenna, Josh Ritter, Jenny Owen Youngs, Jake Blount, Mary Gauthier, Regina Spektor, and so many more.
Performances begin at 6:00 p.m on Friday, May 22nd, and at 2:00 p.m on Saturday (May 23rd), Sunday (May 24th), and Monday (May 25th).
Campfire Festival returns to Club Passim May 22 through May 25. Tickets are $20 for one day and $35 for the whole weekend and are available at www.passim.org. Student tickets are free with a valid student ID. Club Passim is located at 47 Palmer St., Cambridge, MA, 02138.
