In the Indoor Theater:
Failure: A Love Story
by Philip Dawkins
Regional Premier
May 7 - June 7

"Upon entering the United States, the first order of business for Heiner and Marishka Failbottom was to have their bottoms chopped off by an overzealous Ellis Island desk clerk."- a line from this comic love story set in Chicago in 1928, told by a small ensemble of actors who play all of the people, the animals, the music and most of the inanimate objects. To describe it in any more detail will rob you of the joyful surprise in every twist and turn of fate in this brilliant little fable.

Outside Mullingar
by John Patrick Shanley
Regional Premier
June 25 - July 25

Tony Nominee for Best Play, 2014. From the author of Doubt and Moonstruck, a contemporary romantic comedy set in the Irish countryside. Rosemary is approaching 40 and Anthony is already there. They should have wed long ago but insecurity, time hardened eccentricities, prickly pride, unrequited love and an epic grudge over a tiny piece of land seem insurmountable obstacles to romance. Very smart, lyrical and funny, Outside Mullingar is a treat for the ear as well as the heart.

A Cloud of Canvas
by Art Devine
World Premier
September 17 - October 18

Resident Playwright, Art Devine (9-Ball, Winter Wheat, The Bottom of the Sky), finds inspiration in a little known and understood tragic event in the history of the early 19th century China trade. Filled with exciting action and colorful and passionate people from Salem to the shores of Canton, A Cloud of Canvas explores the incomprehensible persistence of hate and revenge across generations.

La Cage Aux Folles
Music & Lyrics by Jerry Herman
Book by Harvey Fierstein
Based on the play by Jean Poiret
November 5 - December 6

Albin and Georges are life partners who own a popular drag nightclub in St. Tropez where Albin is the star performer. When Georges's son, Jean-Michel, wants to bring his fiancée and her very conservative parents home to meet his father, Georges' efforts to appear "normal" to his future in-laws fail hilariously. But each failure discloses truth and in the end begins to bind all into a family. It is a heart warming, entertaining, signature Jerry Herman score we would love for you to experience on Cape Rep's intimate stage. La Cage aux Folles won six Tonys in 1984 including Best Musical.

In the Outdoor Theater:
Elephant & Piggie's "We are in a Play!"
Wednesdays & Thursdays July 1 - September 3
Book & Lyrics by Mo Willems
Music by Deborah Wicks La Puma
Based on the "Elephant & Piggie" books by Mo Willems

Get ready for a musical experience ripped from the pages of Mo Willems's beloved, award-winning, best-selling children's books that will leave audiences doing the "Flippy Floppy Floory" dance all night long! Gerald and Piggie take to the stage in a rollicking adventure perfect for young audiences.

Pitter Patter Puppets
Tuesdays July 7 - August 25, No performance August 11
Puppeteer Mary Wilson's wildly popular puppet shows are interactive, inventive and extremely funny.

Special Events:

Summer Starlight
Monday, July 13

A lovely garden party with jazz music followed by a short performance and candid discussion with the star guest of honor who later mingles with the guests at a champagne reception under the stars. This year's guest star is Laila Robbins, most recently featured in the hit Showtime series Homeland. Senator Dan Wolf will be our auctioneer and Jonathan Soroff will moderate the after-show Q&A.

All Our Best
Friday & Saturday, September 4 & 5

A musical revue designed and directed by Resident Musical Director, Scott Storr, and performed by over 20 Cape Rep company members from far and near, past and present. Special treats and complimentary champagne are included with your ticket purchase. This very popular celebration of Cape Rep is an incredibly popular event.
