Bay Street Theatre, a not-for-profit professional regional theatre located in the Hamptons on the Long Wharf in Sag Harbor, recently announced its revised 2008 Target Mainstage Season and special performances by Betty Buckley over Memorial Day Weekend May 23, 24 and 25.

Start your summer with Betty Buckley over Memorial Day Weekend, May 23 -25 at 8 pm. Spend an intimate evening of Ms. Buckley singing the best of Broadway, the great American songbook, jazz standards, and much more. Tickets are $60 per person and available online at www.baystreet.org or at the box office by calling 631-725-9500.

The 2008 Target Mainstage Season will run June 3 – August 31. Shanghai Noon (June 3 – June 29), by Charles Busch, will be directed by Carl Andress. Charles Busch will be coming to Bay Street Theatre after completing his smash hit run Off Broadway in Die Mommie Die, which he also wrote. Charles Busch (Psycho Beach Party, Vampire Lesbians of Sodom, Tales of the Allergist's Wife) and Julie Halston (Bitsy Von Muffling on Sex and the City, The Class, A Very Serious Person) were a big hit at Bay Street Theatre last summer in Charles Busch's comedy The Lady In Question. Celebrities that came to see that production included Julie Andrews, Sarah Jessica Parker, Mathew Broderick, Renee Zellweger, Paul McCartney, Alan Alda and Joy Behar. Pictures of the celebrities are on charlesbusch.com.

The second production will be the comedy Beyond Therapy, July 8 – July 27, written by Christopher Durang; directed by Alex Timbers. Beyond Therapy is a play with demented therapists, deceptive personal ads, deluded lovers and deplorable waiters. Featuring three-time Tony® Award nominee and Emmy-Award-winning actress Kate Burton (Hedda Gabler, The Elephant Man, Grey's Anatomy) in a co-production with the Williamstown Theatre Festival.

The final production of the 2008 Target Mainstage Season is the Broadway musical favorite Ain't Misbehavin' (August 5 – August 31). The show celebrates the music of Fats Waller, and is based on the idea by Murray Horwitz and Richard Maltby, Jr. The production will be directed and choreographed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge who most recently directed and choreographed the world premiere of Julie Andrew's Simeon's Gift at Bay Street Theatre.

The 2008 Target Mainstage Season is made possible in part through a generous underwriting gift by Target Stores. Subscriptions and single tickets for the 2008 Target Mainstage Season are available on line at www.baystreet.org or by calling the Box Office at 631-725-9500.

Bay Street Theatre also has an all star Comedy Club lineup. Tickets go on sale for Comedy Club on April 15. To see the line up log on to www.baystreet.org or call 631-725-9500.
