TONY nominated singer/songwriter Ann Hampton Callaway and Blues Legend Irma Thomas will be a special guests of Dr. John at the 2006 Tanglewood Jazz Festival September 1-3.

Hampton, who is a consummate cabaret performer, has received 14 awards from the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs and was nominated for a TONY as "Best Actress in a Musical" for her role in Swing.

Irma Thomas is the unrivaled Soul Queen of New Orleans.  For my money, she ranks a very close third in the greatest living female blues singers, right up there with Miss Ruth Brown and Koko Taylor.

Ronn Records issued Thomas' single, "You Can Have My Husband (But Don't Mess With My Man)," in the spring of 1960 and the record reached number 22 on the Billboard R & B Chart.

Thomas has returned to the studio for her first new album in six years, After the Rain, completed just a few days before her 65th birthday.

Tickets for the 2006 Tanglewood Jazz Festival are available by calling SymphonyCharge at 888-266-1200 or online at www.tanglewood.org.
