I went. It was basically a 3 hour version of Seth's Chatterbox. 3 hours and only 7 songs were sung. I loved it, because I adore Seth and his interviews with the "Dames" were fantastic. I'm just guessing that some of the older patrons who shelled out the $150 and $250 for orchestra seats were maybe not as pleased to attend a benefit concert without much concert. The women only sang one song each, with the exception of Stephanie who sang two.
Kelli and her 8-month pregnant belly were just too cute. Seth had some fun/old video footage of Stephanie, Andrea, Audra, and Betty.
I am terrible with song titles. Kelli sang a song about a country/opera girl who gives birth IN an Opera house and gets a contract because of it.
Stephanie sang a Barbra Streisand song "He Touched Me" and a Pirate Queen number.
Bebe marked a dance number from "A Chorus Line" (it was pretty funny), and she sang "Ring The Bells"? I think that's the name of it? I could be wrong.
Andrea sang "You Made Me Love You"
Audra sang "Bill"
I forget what Betty sang. All I remember is she put her mic down because she doesn't need it. She also told some gross story about having a bad cold during "Cats" and having mucus come out of her nose during "Memory"
"It's the little things; the details, that distinguish the Barbra Streisands from the Rosalyn Kinds."~Gilmore Girls~
Thanks - I don't feel as bad about missing it if they only sang one song each (seeing Steph at Birdland in July anyway), but still would have enjoyed it.
