Hey guys, I posted when iTunes carried the VIDEOS of "Sunday in the park with George" and then "Into The Woods"... I feel obligated to post that iTunes is now carrying the video of the Broadway Revival of "Company" starring Raul Esparza...
Sunday in the Park With George. I guess it's not fair for me to say because I have never seen Into The Woods but Sunday In The Park With George is amazing!
You should not have brought this to my attention. I will buy this and put it on my iPod. And then walk into things because I'm so enthralled by being able to watch it when and wherever I want.
yes, Sunday in the Park IS Amazing lol I'm just guessing if you have to put only ONE on an ipod.."Into The Woods" might be more user-friendly lol but Drunk Chita Rivera..you MUST see Into the Woods...if you have iTunes, you can rent it!
I'd personally take SITPWG over them but Into the Woods *is* the most accessible so if you're 'new' to Sondheim buy it first.
It sucks how this is only available in the US. I'd much rather rent it for $2 USD then have to buy it for $55 AUD on DVD. Or at least buy it for $10 USD on the store. Guh. Hope it comes soon.
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000
If you can see it on your iTunes but it won't transfer onto your iPod Touch then all you need to do is format the video.
To do this all you have to do is select ADVANCED on the tool bar of iTunes and select CREATE iPOD OR iPHONE VERSION. This will begin converting that file into the format which will transfer and play on your iPod Touch.
