Delacorte Theater-Surrounding restaurants & parking suggestion

I am going to Hair tomorrow and wanted to know any suggestions of where would be a nice place to eat before the show and was wondering the best place to park entering on the Central Park West Side which looks like the closest entrance to the theater. I have never been up that far and need any help ou there . Thanks

I don't know much about parking, but you enter at 81st street. If you walk one avenue east to Columbus, the streets are lined with several cool places to eat. I like v*nyl, which I think is on 85th. Prohibition is another good one, but if you're not into loud places don't go there. Senior Swankey's is a good mexican food place with delicious nachoes. I basically just know the ones above 81st because I live in the 80's, but I'm sure if you walk south, the 70's have got to have some good stuff too.
