It's about time there is a revival of this show! It's one of my favorites. The only downside is that it's extremely dated. I wonder if they are going to make any changes to it.
I'm really looking forward to seeing this. It should work well at the Menier's intimate space. (It's where the recent production of Sunday In The Park With George started out before transferring to the West End and then to Broadway.) I've not heard anything as yet about whether there have been any updates/rewrites for this production. But I did read that Marvin Hamlisch plans to make a new recording of the score with this cast.

I assume that any revival would still be set in the late 1970s due the disco/easy listening sound of the score unless the orchestrations are updated (like the Doyle's revival of Company).
they should keep it in the disco era and make it a period piece. no reason why they shoudn't. very excited that it's finally getting some attention. if it doesn't make it back to bway then how about a summer of stars production at city center next summer?
Count me among those that think "updating" this show would destroy it's whole personality. Keep it exactly the way it was to capture that long lost feeling. It's what makes the show unique in today's climate of chaos.
So glad to see the West End is mounting Hamlisch (I don't mean that like it sounds! WINK WINK!)
Love this show and hope to see it return to the states to give a couple of NEW stars a chance to shine!
