You can definitely sell yr tix to people at the thtr, tho you will still have the trouble of getting new tix. it can't hurt to ask on the fone to be sure you can't just exchange them.
You may want to fix this title-- "replace" sounds like she's leaving the show for good and certainly scared me. "fill in for" or "cover for" is probably a better choice of words :)
I know this probably wont sway you at all but as someone who has seen this show 6 times (not rich...just really lucky and well-connected) and who had the opportunity to see Ms. Duncan perform the role, I would suggest going to the show on the original date despite the lack of Kelli. Honestly, several individuals on this board felt that Laura Marie brought something to the role that was lacking in Kelli's performance. Granted, we all go to shows hoping to see the original players and Kelli is superb in this show, but it might be worth taking a chance on a woman whose career is pretty damn impressive and who brings something different to the table. All that having been said, I understand where you are coming from. I just hate to see people missing out on a good performance in favor of a name.
i saw the show last night and it was so brilliant...and I sat next to the camera man who was their shooting it for Lincoln center =D Sorry about Kelli... I am sure LMD will be just as amazing.
I thought you can return tickets for this production. Isn't there a cancellation line? The show has been selling extremely well, so they'd have no problem reselling those tickets. Also, I hear it isn't too hard to get tickets for some performances, but you'll probably have to look more into the end of summer/beginning of fall.

Laura Marie was wonderful. I was disappointed not to see Kelli and I couldn't picture LM in the role but she really surprised me and was amazing. And that was her first performance. Now if only I had seen Lenora in Gypsy
Does anyone know why Kelli is taking off time so early in the run?

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

Actors are only allotted paid vacation time after having played six months of performances, according to Equity rules.
SOUTH PACIFIC hasn't been playing six months yet.

This is true, but South Pacific was only supposed to run until the 22nd of this month, and I'm fairly certain Kelli arranged to take this vacation in her contract when the run was extended.
She'll be missed for this week! I honestly don't know if I could see the show without her.
