It would have been a shame not to record the brilliant orchestra and (although I wasn't crazy about the chemistry) the great vocal chops of the cast!

Assuming that Cry Baby doesn't close soon after opening, we should assume that it will get recorded.
Has there ever been a show that did have a healthy run and wasn't a revival or West End transfer that didn't get a recording?
The truly beautiful should be lawfully restricted from wearing clothing; and the truly butt-ugly should be lawfully mandated from going naked.

Posted: 3/20/08 at 7:21pmFolk, yes - only after cast albums became a staple. I can't think of any show in the last few decades that had some longevity that didn't get recorded. Of course, with the caveat that it wasn't a West End transfer or a revival where the original or earlier production was recorded and released.
