When you wre a kid, or even at this age, was there ever some movie which you wanted to be adapted rfor the stage, or some actor to play a certain part? Or even some musical to be adapted into a movie? Maybe an idea for a set piece for a real or made up show? post those ideas here:
I remember I always wanted to see Wakko's wish, an Animaniacs movie using Broadway songs, as a stage musical on Broadway. I had tons of books full of costume ideas for the animated characters, plus a set idea for transitioning from a large castle to a villiage instantly which I have used in various other ideas.
I also always wanted to see an Into the Woods TV movie, which would be similar to the revival where the entire world was almost a large library.
Disney's Hunchback Of Notre Dame. I would love to see that on stage. When I was real little I saw an adaptation of it in One of the WDW parks and it was wonderful.
I wished South Park (especially an adaptation of the movie) would hit the stage. I also thought Seth MacFarlane and Walter Murphy (the writer and composer, respectively, of Family Guy) should write an original musical. I still do.
You're reminding me of people you hear at the movies asking questions every ten seconds, "Who is that? Why is that guy walking down the street? Who's that lady coming up to him? Uh-oh, why did that car go by? Why is it so dark in this theater?" - FindingNamo on strummergirl
"If artists were machines, then I'm just a different kind of machine...I'd probably be a toaster. Actually, I'd be a toaster oven because they're more versatile. And I like making grilled cheese" -Regina Spektor
"That's, like, twelve shows! ...Or seven." -Crazy SA Fangirl
"They say that just being relaxed is the most important thing [in acting]. I take that to another level, I think kinda like yawning and...like being partially asleep onstage is also good, but whatever." - Sherie Rene Scott
I want to see Aladdin on a Broadway stage to this day. I'd be so excited if that rumored production really does happen.
"It means nothing to come and sit in a theater night after night and immerse yourself in fantasy, only then to walk out the door and be unchanged in reality. This show will live on in our hearts. But where it truly must survive is in our actions, our compassion and our generousity of spirit towards one another." - Adam Pascal on the closing of RENT

December 19th- Noises Off, Edith Piaf Concert at Town Hall
I have always wanted to see them do a Broadway Version of the animated "Anastasia" Movie. The songs and story are wonderful, and when you watch it I feel like it just cries to be on stage.
I also totally can see Sutton Foster as Anya/Anastasia
YEAHHHHH! ^ both of you above, every time i listen to the anastasia soundtrack i think about what an incredible stage version it could make. its sooooooo sweeping and exciting and perfect for broadway. i always picture it down to the sets and everything. SOMEONE NEEDS TO MAKE THIS ADAPTATION, its begging for it.
Disney's Sleeping Beauty with Julia Murney as Melificent(sp?) the evil witch.
"I've always secretly longed for an actress to get to the top of the cherry picker and projectile vomit all over the guards below."- Wonderwaiter in the "Defy Gravity?" thread.
~~~~~~~~My dream? Sutton Foster as Cassie in A Chorus Line
I was thinking the Devil Wears Prada as well. Zoolander and Little Miss Sunshine are two more.
"Maybe you could teach me how to LuPwn? No, that seems like something only a bitter delusional queen could enjoy." -JoeKv99 on the remarks of TooDarnHot
the great gatsby would work well, i love to see it so old and timeless novel come to the stage. & for the people who said Anastasia, same here. I could definitely see Sutton, or maybe Mara Davi? & for Dimitri what about Josh Strikland? He would prob be very good. I would also LOVE to see Pocahontas, which i'm sure others would. Who could play Pochahontas and John Smith though? & Grandmother Willow?
I'm still waitin' for Matt and Trey to get the idea to adapt South Park for the stage. And I want them to cram as many jokes from the TV series as possible like Chef's "I'm Gonna Make Love To You, Woman" and Cartman's rendition of "Come Sail Away" by Styx. And add in Timmy and Jimmy.
I really wanna see Ugly Betty onstage.
When I was young, I always wanted to see a Broadway version of every Disney movie I saw.
I've always wanted to see stage versions of Nightmare Before Christmas, Hercules (mostly because it would be fantastic casting the muses), and Cannibal the Musical (written by the South Park guys).
