This was soooooo good it needed it's own thread.

But of course since I dont own it - I can't put up the link.

but everyone must search for "Hullabaloo Dancers, 1965" on that website and watch the first video that pops up.

THIS. IS. DANCE. I dont think there has been anything greater since.

Michael Donna, Patrick and the rest, tear it up in this 4:30 of glory.

When Donna starts dancing the music sounds like the vamp to "The Ladies who Lunch," kinda funny.

also listen for 6 music notes towards the end of the number when all of the dancers move downstage- it sounds exactly like "You Cant Stop The Beat" before Motormouth Maybelles "lets wrap this mother up!" Maybe Marc heard this and was inspired. :)

but watch. I wish tv like this still existed.

"Zac is sweet as can be. He's very much just a sweet kid from California who happens to have a face that looks like it was drawn by Michelangelo, (if Michelangelo did anime)."
-Adam Shankman.

"I haven't left this building since Windows 3.1!"

"Celebrating a birthday this week: Rene Descartes is 412! Do you know who he is? Then why are you watching this show? You could probably get into college and even get one of those job things. As for the rest of us; Amanda Bynes is 22! Yay!"

Here's a link to a "Hullabaloo Love Thread" from a while back:

https://www.broadwayworld.com/board/readmessage.cfm?boardname=off&thread=911120

I love the video that comes up when you seach for "Hullabaloo Dancers 1965." I love that Dean Jones pronounces Donna McKechnie's name wrong. And how about "Mike" Bennett?

I didn't realize Suzanne Charney was a Hullabaloo Dancer! She was the lead "Frug" dancer in the movie Sweet Charity.

Here's another from 1965 "Hullabaloo"...

Donna McKechnie sings!

(and not very well, I might add, because the key is wrong for her, and most of the melody of "Do I Hear a Waltz" lies right on her break. Oy!)

Still it's a full decade before her star turn in A Chorus Line... and it's kinda fun to see her so young... and so prominently featured on that TV show!
